a friend told me that fans must be careful, around the presquile area the french boys are going to target 3 bars. King arthur, thewallace, and the welsh. be alert, all bars are in narrow streets. good luck boys and girls, thanks paul for the info.

Hundreds of West Ham at the bars One Iron mentioned on the Wednesday night.
Lyon had their spotters out all night, but obviously didn’t fancy it.

Despite all the scaremongering on here. I never saw any trouble in Lyon at all. I went clubbing on Thursday night and all the Lyon lads were friendly.
Didn’t see any Lyon groups of fans around Presquile, just West Ham.
The French are a bunch of pussies.

The leader of the Ultras was in the Old Town last night and was persuaded not to attack any bars by a bar owner that he has respect for.
We were sitting with the bar owner outside a bar (not his own) and saw the conversation. Just as well really as there were only about ten of us in total.

Got here yesterday afternoon, out and about last night and all quiet, plenty of West Ham about in pockets of fives and sixes.
Massive place Lyon as the stadium is miles out of town and a three hour walk, looks like public transport there and back which should be fun

The police closed the main Wallace pub tonight (the Wallace referred to in the OP is the smaller Wallace snug) while it was full of fans watching the champions league games . I heard there was no trouble but shut as a precaution. Saw some video earlier , looked good atmosphere, we were in good voice. Good chance some of these bars like the smoking dog , Wallace might be closed tomorrow night once the game is done .

Block 426 next to the away fans in Lyon was sold out. They have now cancelled and refunded everyone who paid with an English debit card , being the blue seats now available again
Plus block 427 as well.
